dlinkrouter.local is a Login Page of Your Router,in order to set up a dlink router launch a web browser and type 192.168.0.1 in address bar of your browser, a login screen will appear use username as admin & default password is blank . If you are getting any error message like bad gateway or page cannot be displayed try 192.168.0.1 instead of classic web address www.dlinkrouter.local

    Dlink Router Password Reset

    Try to access dlink router login webpage using web address http://dlinkrouter.local ,or try to access dlink router login webpage using ip address 192.168.0.1 ,connect your computer with dlink router lan slot using ethernet cable ,type ipconfig in cmd window ,check your router default gateway ip address ,try to access dlink router login webpage using web address http://dlinkrouter.local ,a login screen will appear ,username is admin and default password is blank ,click on manage wireless settings option ,you can create a new network password ,wifi password must contain minimum 8 characters ,select wifi security protocol to wpa2 /personal ,then click on save and apply option .

    Dlink Firmware Update

    To update dlink router firmware ,try to access dlink router login webpage configuration using default web address http://dlinkrouter.local or dlink router ip address 192.168.0.1 ,to update dlink router firmware first connect a ethernet cable from dlink router lan slot to your computer ,then open a web browser and type http://dlinkrouter.local in address bar of your browser , a login screen will appear use username as admin and default password as blank , click on administration option , click on firmware update option ,you can download dlink router firmware from dlink download centre .resetingdlink router firmware sometimes changes dlink router configuration settings to factory defaults ,in such cases you can run dlink set up utility again to reconfigure dlink router >>run dlink router set up utility using default web address dlinkrouter.local or ip address 192.168.1.1.

    Dlink router setup

  • -Unplug the power to your DSL or Cable modem.
  • - Connect an Ethernet cable from the Internet port of the router to the Ethernet port on your DSL or Cable modem.
  • -Connect another Ethernet cable from the Ethernet port on your computer to one of the LAN ports on the router.
  • -Plug the power back into your DSL or cable modem. Please wait about one minute before continuing.
  • -Plug the power adapter into your router and connect to an available power outlet or surge protector.
  • If the Power LED does not light up, press the Power button on the back of the router.

    • Web Browser Configuration

  • -Open a web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) and enter http://dlinkrouter.local./ or the IP address of the router (http://192.168.0.1).
  • -When the Welcome screen appears, click Next to continue.
  • -The router will automatically detect your Internet connection type. If not, then select your Internet connection and click Next to continue.
  • -.DSL (PPPoE) users enter your PPPoE user name and password supplied by your ISP. Click Next to continue.
  • -Create a name for your Wi-Fi Network and a password. Your wireless devices (i.e., tablets, smartphones, and laptops) will need to have this information entered to information entered to be able to connect to your wireless network. Click Next to continue.
  • -Continue with the Setup Wizard to finish configuring your DIR-880L router.Once completed, the Internet LED will turn white indicating that your router is connected to the Internet.
